Know your character's movie if they have one, and the movie history of the other characters in game, especially X-Men 1, Spider-Man 1, Iron Man 1, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Punisher, and Fantastic Four. Comic elements are included, but the movies are the main canon and you might not be able to use a comic character or plot the same way if it was used differently in the movies. Twitter Account: None E-Mail Address(es): None - may get one later PB: Jaimie Alexander Journal Name: SylvanSif Powers/Abilities: Sif has the same abilities that all the Asgardians have, namely: strength, enhanced durability, and relative immortality (or at least, she's extremely long-lived with the probability of reincarnation). She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and all non-combustable weaponry. Her weapon of choice is a large, enchanted sword, although she doesn't rely solely on this and has been known to use a bow and arrow, battle axe, or her bare hands, from time to time. Sif also possesses the relatively unique ability to teleport herself and others between Earth and Asgard. She has been seen to do this with her own power, and relying on the power of her enchanted sword as well. Weaknesses: Sif main weakness is Thor. Not in the typical - 'girl gives up everything for the man she loves' sort of way, although Sif does have a romantic history with Thor, and presumably a romantic future, given their longevity. While she cares for him, Sif is a warrior first and foremost, and Thor is her King, or at least her future King - her lord. She, her brother Heimdall, their friend Balder, and the Warriors Three, have all been loyal Thor for a very long time, and can still be counted on to come to his aid if he's in need. In particular, Sif especially concerns herself with Thor's well-being, and is more likely than the others to keep an eye on him. This might leave her vulnerable to trickery should someone take advantage of her propensity to follow-up on her worry for her friend by checking on him, if she isn't careful. She is not immune to magic, and this is one of the best ways to trap an Asgardian. In particular, her long life is due to eating the golden apples of the tree of life. Not partaking of this fruit causing rapid aging and eventually, death. Access to this tree is no easy feat, but should one gain knowledge of and manage to access it, it would mean the end of all the Norse pantheon unless something could be done to reverse things. Sif is not invulnerable, and cannot continue fighting forever. She can be injured, can be killed, and can tire. Doing all of these things just requires greater effort on the part of her foes. History: Thor, Sif, and Balder were close friends as children, though they also played with Loki as well. A second generation goddess with uncertain parantage (but known to be the sister of Heimdall), Sif showed early promise as a warrior and was only bested by Brunnhilde. Stolen by a giant once, she was offered as a gift to the goddess of death, Hela, in exchange for immortality. In an effort to save her, Thor offered himself in her place, so impressing Hela that she allowed both to go free. Born with blonde hair, Sif grew her raven tresses in adolescence when Loki cut the lighter locks while she slept in jealousy because she preferred Thor's company to his. Sif's despair when she awoke worried Loki, who feared he would be blamed, and he made a deal with the dwarves to fashion new hair for her out of solid gold. But the dwarves were cunning and prepared in case Loki tried to trick them. Loki did try to steal the golden hair without paying for it, and when it was put on Sif's head, it began to grow as though it were real hair. But because it had not been treated with a special ointment before Loki took it away, the gold turned solid black. Sif began to cry again, and tired of her vanity, Sif's parents sent her away to train as a Shield Maiden. This she did for a millennia, not returning until after Thor had brought the mortal woman Jane Foster to Asgard in another life, to make her an immortal. When she failed the test and was sent back to earth to forget, Sif and Thor were reunited. Odin had long intended for Sif and Thor to be together, and they were. They fought side by side in many battles, living as lovers and companions, pledged to marry - until Ragnarok caused both their deaths. Alive again, in new host bodies, Thor and Sif have yet to meet again, but with the recent time jump trouble on Midgard, Sif may be sufficiently concerned about her friend to visit the mortal plane and check in on him.
